Brooklyn Nets All-Star forward Kevin Durant is now a little lighter in the wallet. On Sunday, the NBA announced that Durant was fined 25,000 dollars for directing profanity toward a fan. The incident occurred during Brooklyn’s 113-105 victory over the Hawks in Atlanta on Friday night.

This is the second time this season that Durant has been fined by the league. He was also fined 25,000 dollars in October for throwing the ball into the stands out of frustration during a game against the Indiana Pacers.

Here’s the official statement from the league:

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant has been fined $25,000 for directing obscene language toward a fan, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations. The incident took place with 28 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Nets’ 113-105 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Dec. 10 at State Farm Arena.

NOTHING NEW FOR KEVIN DURANT!

You can see the incident here.

The game in Atlanta was an eventful one for Durant, as he also exchanged some words with Hawks star guard Trae Young during the fourth quarter of the contest.

The extracurriculars didn’t prevent Durant from handling his business on the court, as he finished the game with 31 points, six assists and five rebounds. On the season, Durant is leading the NBA in scoring with 28.5 points per game, and his productive play is a big part of the reason that the Nets sit at the top of the Eastern Conference standings with an 18-8 record.

DONCIC STILL OUT FOR THE MAVS!

While the Dallas Mavericks got off to a strong start under new head coach Jason Kidd, there were some warning signs that perhaps they weren’t quite as good as their 9-4 record indicated. And sure enough, things have started to fall apart in recent weeks. They’re just 3-9 since then, to fall to 12-13 and eighth place in the Western Conference. To make matters worse, star guard Luka Doncic has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury, and will miss multiple games according to veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein. As of now, no official timetable has been set for Doncic’s return to the lineup.
