With a 104-47 demolition of North Macedonia, France outperformed themselves in Group A once more, outpacing their 52-point triumph on Day 1. North Macedonia dropped to 0-2, and France advanced to 2-0. Again, all 12 of France’s players scored, and the bench scored 51 points overall. Bilal Coulibaly was the standout player, scoring 19 points on 9 of 10 attempts, adding 2 rebounds, and 5 steals.
They dazzled the whole game, dishing out 30 assists and picking up 24 steals. Israel defeated Great Britain on Day 2 by a score of 89-61 to win Group A and go to 2-0 while dropping Great Britain to 0-2. In just 18 minutes of action, Israel’s point guard Noam Yaacov led the squad once more with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. In addition to forcing 28 turnovers, which led to 42 points for Israel, they were able to go out in transition and score 40 fast break points. Group B saw a back-and-forth match between Germany and Poland, with each side taking the lead for 18:38 and 19:12, respectively. Poland was declared the winner with a score of 63-56. Germany had a seven-point lead against Poland in the third quarter while the game was still undecided, but Poland went on a 15-0 run to change the momentum.
