Israel vs Poland 2022 FIBA U-18 European Championship will be held on August 3. Several routes occurred on the first day of the FIBA U18 European Championship, with France, Spain, and Turkey all winning by at least 45 points. France had a successful tournament debut by defeating Great Britain 97-45 in Group A. It was a tremendous team performance as all 12 members of France scored. With 13 points and a poster slam, Daryl Doualla took the lead. After one quarter, France only led Great Britain 19-15, but neither side would concede. France took control after that, outscoring them 60-16 in the second and third quarters. In addition, France’s bench players scored 51 more points than all of Great Britain combined.

The other Group A game, which was considerably tighter, saw Israel overcome North Macedonia 79-70. Turnovers and three-point shooting both proved to be crucial game-changing factors. Israel outscored North Macedonia by 15 points from beyond the arc, forcing 17 turnovers while only committing 6 themselves. Four Israeli players reached double-digit scoring, with Noam Yaacov leading the way with 24 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and four steals on 8 of 12 field goal shooting. Teodor Simikj, who finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds, fared effectively for North Macedonia. In their respective Group B matches, Turkey and Spain defeated Poland and Germany by scores of 94-43 and 89-44, respectively. With 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks, Turkey’s 2.16 m (7 ft 1 in) center Samet Yigitoglu was the team’s top scorer. Five players for Turkey scored in excess of ten.
