The Texas Legends (1-1) rebounded to a 104-94 win on the road Friday night to share their first regular series against the Birmingham Squadrons (1-1). Grant, got his revenge as the trio of Liller, Yudai Baba, and Tyler Hall scored a total of 79 points. Baba started the first quarter hot with an 11-point performance to put Texas up by 10 points. The Legends had the biggest lead in the second half (+17), but Birmingham finished with his 15-4 run and at the break, he went to 6 (47-53). Liller and Bubba finished the first half with 17 each and Texas was down 54% overall.
The tide turned in the second half when Birmingham opened fire. Texas hit nearly every shot until the home team went 13-3 in the final five minutes and led 77-73 going into the final quarter. The Legends responded with a 12-2 run to start Game 4 and regain the lead. The stretch was short-lived as Kelan Martin just over two minutes later scored seven points and the two traded his lead four more times. An 8-point run put Texas up 7 points, and Liller finished with the Legend’s last 9 points for a double-digit win. Liller recorded a game-high 31 points and 7 assists. Bubba finished with a career-high 26 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Hall added 22 points and four rebounds. Tays his Moore had his first double-double of the season with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
