Connecticut Sun vs Las Vegas Aces WNBA Playoffs game will take place on September 18 at the Mohegan Sun Arena (Montville). The Connecticut Sun defeated the Las Vegas Aces 105-76 in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Thursday night in Uncasville, Connecticut, as Alyssa Thomas recorded the first triple-double in WNBA Finals history. The Connecticut Sun also extended its season. For the Sun, who are behind 2-1 in the best-of-five series, Thomas had 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. She finished with a triple-double with 9:10 left. Game 4 will take place on Sunday in Connecticut as well. In the event that a Game 5 is required, it will take place Tuesday night in Las Vegas. The Sun took advantage of having the game on their home court by going on a hot streak early on and fending off many Aces rallies. With 20 points, Jonquel Jones led the squad in scoring.

DeWanna Bonner led Connecticut, which went 8-for-15 from outside the arc, with 18 points, followed by Natisha Hiedeman with 14, the backup DiJonai Carrington with 12, and Courtney Williams with 11. With one minute left in the third quarter, the Aces were within one point, 75-69. The Sun scored the following eight points, increasing their lead from the fast reduction of a comparable deficit earlier in the game to more than 20 points. Jackie Young led Las Vegas with 22 points, including five 3-pointers, while A’ja Wilson added 19 points. In addition to Chelsea Gray’s 11 points and seven assists, Kelsey Plum contributed 17 points.
