Connecticut Sun vs Las Vegas Aces WNBA Playoffs game will take place on September 16 at the Mohegan Sun Arena (Montville). Game 2 of the WNBA Finals is between the Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces. A’Ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray, and a good team defensive effort helped the Aces win Game 1 67-64. Before heading to Connecticut, they’ll try to play with the same vigor on Tuesday night. Game 1 was very nearly stolen by the Sun, but they struggled in the second half. They scored just 26 points overall in the second half, far fewer than their season average of more than 40. Star player Alyssa Thomas contributed with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. However, as a team, the visitors only hit five of their 16 three-point attempts, and they only attempted five free throws.

They’ll need to be much more offensively savvy on Tuesday, but it won’t be simple in hostile territory. The Aces barely defeated their opponent on Sunday, and even though they failed to cover the spread, they will gladly head into Game 2 leading the series. A’Ja Wilson scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the victory to achieve a double-double for the fourth straight game.

Chelsea Gray, a teammate of Wilson’s who has been the postseason’s standout player, performed admirably once more, scoring 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting. Even if the rest of the squad struggled to score, their defensive effort was sufficient. Las Vegas will likely make an effort to play a less careless game tonight. These clubs faced off against each other three times throughout the regular season, and Game 1 was no different. Connecticut was one of the strongest teams against the spread during the year, despite Las Vegas having a talent edge.
