The Connecticut Sun will head to the Wintrust Arena for Game 2 of their second-round playoff matchup against the Chicago Sky on Wednesday. The Sun were able to cruise their way to a narrow 68-63 win in Game 1 of the series.

DeWanna Bonner led the way for the team with a stellar 15-point performance. She also grabbed 9 rebounds and made 5 assists on the night. The likes of Jonquel Jones, Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones also left their impact as they racked up 12 points. Both teams were neck and neck for the entirety of the game. But the Sun held their lead and took the much-needed advantage in the series. The team will be looking to give their best and bag another win in Game 2. A win will help them secure their revenge over the Sky, who knocked them out in the playoffs last season.

The defending champions have now lost the first game in both their playoffs series. Last round it was a New York Liberty team, but this time around their opponents are a talented Connecticut Suns side. In Game 1, Candace Parker was everywhere on the floor. The veteran scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds while also making 5 assists. Her brilliance on the floor helped her become the first WNBA player to have over 15 points, 15 rebounds, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks in a playoff game. The two-time champion will be looking to continue having her impact on the game and lead the Sky beyond the line on Wednesday.

The Connecticut Sun have reported that they will play without Bria Hartley, who has been ruled out of the season due to an ACL injury. As far as the Sky are concerned, they will take the court on Wednesday without Li Yueru as she has been ruled out of the season due to personal reasons.
