Geelong-Korea will go against Adelaide in the Australia ABL on November 17 at Geelong Baseball Centre. Geelong-SEASON Korea’s 2022/23 has officially begun with their season opening versus Melbourne Aces on Thursday before its home opener at Geelong Baseball Centre. For the first time in three years, national-level baseball will be played in Geelong during GK’s four-game series versus Adelaide. According to former club manager Dae-Sung Koo, all players should be enthusiastic about the next season. The athletes will have a wonderful time, according to Koo. However, rather than believing they are from various Korean Baseball Organization teams, the players should remember that they are members of Team Geelong Korea. The GK roster, which is nearly completely composed of baseball players from Korea, has had trouble in its early years, with a dismal record of seven victories and 33 defeats in its first season in 2018–19.
Koo is hopeful for GK in 2022–23, though, when he believes it will be a rebound season. If they play modestly and don’t undervalue Australian players, I believe they will do better than they did in the past seasons, Koo continued. “This season will see more players excel because GK will be playing in the ABL for the third time. Please keep an eye on the players’ development and show them a lot of support. The first home game against the Giants next week will establish the tone at home, Koo continued, and the players will need the community’s support to advance in the season.

Glenn Williams, CEO of Baseball Australia, was ecstatic to announce GK’s return to the ABL. According to Mr. Williams, “We are fortunate to work with a supportive community that helps our sport to receive maximum exposure not just domestically but also worldwide.” “Having the ability to play at both the Geelong Baseball Centre and the Melbourne Ballpark will provide fans the finest opportunity to see live sport following a COVID impact season break.
