Syed Modi International 2022: Day 1 men's and women's singles fixtures, live streaming details

The Syed Modi International Tournament in 2022 will begin on January 18. There is a lot of doubt around the competition and the safety of the athletes, given the current Omicron scenario in India. The USD 150,000-event will take place at the Babu Banarasi Stadium in Lucknow and will last for five days until the 23rd.

In the men’s singles division, there are a total of 17 Indian badminton players. The first seed is Kidambi Srikanth. P Kashyap, Sourabh Verma, and Sameer Verma are among the other noteworthy players.

PV Sindhu will try to win the Syed Modi International to avenge an upsetting semi-final loss at the India Open. The 26-year-old from Hyderabad was on track to win her first tournament since winning the 2019 World Championships, but Thailand’s Supanida Katethong shattered her ambitions with a three-game triumph at the India Open last week. Sindhu, who finished second in both the Swiss Open and the World Tour Finals last year, will face fellow countrywoman Tanya Hemanth this week.
