The World Athletics Championships 2022 reaches the one-week mark with Day 7 in store next on Thursday, July 21 in Oregon.
The World Athletics Championships is nearing a fascinating end, with the competition reaching the final few days after a memorable first week. This is the first time the United States plays hosts for the CWG at the Hayward Field Stadium in Eugene. Day 7 commences on July 19, Wednesday with hosts USA leading the medal tally with 18 medals, including 6 Golds.
However, Ethiopia is a far mile behind with 3 Golds so far and a total of 6. From the Indian contingent, the event also sees Olympic Gold medalist Neeraj Chopra in action tomorrow aiming to reach the 90-m mark after his recent success in Finland and Sweden. Apart from Neeraj Chopra, India’s Rohit Yadav is also in the line-up. The 24-year-old qualified after his heroic win at the Tokyo Games last year.
