Miltiadis Miltos Tentoglou, popularly known as Miltiadis Tentoglou is a long jumper who won the gold medal for Greece in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. In Athens, Tentoglou began his outdoor season in 2021 with a massive personal best of 8.60m, an improvement that some doubted whether it was a valid performance. After following it up with an 8.48-meter leap to win the Greek title in June, he stunned everyone by winning the Tokyo Olympics 2020 with a best effort of 8.41 m and silenced all his critics. Post winning the Olympics, he got endorsement deals and partnerships with many companies such as Stoiximan, NBG, Cardlink, Kosmocar, and Skoda. He has been a part of the NBG or the National Bank of Greece since June 2022 under their responsibility for society program.

His first athletics event was the high jump. Tentoglou cleared a solid 1.80m in his first competition. But when he tried the long jump, it was a completely different scenario. According to him, in his first competition, he jumped 6.38 meters at the age of 15. When he progressed in the high jump, he recognized that event would exercise control considering his growth.

Tentoglou, who was 18 at the time, participated in the Rio Olympics in 2016 and leapt 8.19 meters. He improved his personal best by 8.30m the following year and eventually became the European U20 champion. Tentoglou claimed the European Senior Championship in 2018 and qualified for the global final in Doha in 2019. However, in a very competitive environment at the World Championships 2019, he struggled to find his best form and placed 10th with 7.79m. In the next edition of the World Championships which took place in Oregon, he jumped a whopping 8.32 m to finish second and win the silver medal at the competition.
