Tata Consultancy Services has announced a five-year partnership as the title sponsor and Official Technology Partner with Lidingöloppet, the sports event in Sweden, renowned as the world’s largest cross-country run. The annual event was started back in 1965, with a grueling 30 kilometer course through open terrain near Stockholm, Sweden. The other events include the Lidingöloppet 15 (15 km), Lidingöruset (1.7-4 km for people with special needs), Lidingörullet (2 km for wheelchair users) and Lilla Lidingöloppet (1.7-6 km for children).
The Lidingöloppet event invites a total number of 45,000 entries, with the main 30k race amassing 22,000 participants. Runners from more than 35 countries participate in the event, adding to the company’s work with the New York, Amsterdam and London Marathons as well. The event is set to get underway on 25th September this year, with other events following suit over the weekend.
In addition to Sweden local channel Sportkanalen, the event will be available (without ads) for CMore subscribers with Plus and Premium packages.
All other race events during the TCS Lidingöloppet weekend will be streamed live on the TCS Lidingöloppet website www.tcslidingoloppet.se
The broadcast will start at 12 am (UTC +2) on Saturday the 24th of September and begins with interviews, analyses, and reports about the classical race event.
The start of the elite field takes place at 12.30.
