'GOAT': Simone Biles earns support on Twitter after recalling her traumatizing Olympic experience

Olympic champion and American gymnast Simone Biles joins the "Little miss" trend on Twitter to share her Tokyo Olympics experience.

A new meme named Little miss ‘something’ is trending across social networking platforms over the past several weeks. While some people are using the trend to define their personalities, some are creating something funny or comical out of it. ‘Little miss addicted to ear piercing’, ‘Little miss doesn’t drink water’, and ‘Little miss buys journals for the aesthetic and never writes in them’ are a few examples of the new meme that is trending now.

However, the Olympic champion Simone Arianne Biles too joined the trend but in a strange manner. She made use of Twitter and emphasized her traumatic experience at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Her tweet read, “little miss traumatized by her Olympic experience”. Many people responded to the tweet by showing their support for the American gymnast.

Amid the Tokyo Olympics, Biles bowed out from the competition on account of mental health issues, stating that it was affecting her ability to perform. Although she had to go through criticisms for her decision on social media, she received immense support from the sporting community as such issues are something that many professional athletes face in their everyday life.

The 25-year-old has attained 19 World Championships and 4 Olympic games Gold medals and is regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time by many. She was even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by USA Joe Biden. In the Rio Olympics, she set an American record for most number of gold medals in gymnastics in a single Olympics.
