Sandeep Kumar and Amit Khatri will represent India in the Men’s 10,000m Race walk at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Sandeep is the current national record holder in men’s 50km and 20km race walk. He competed in the Tokyo Olympics and finished 23rd in the 20km race walk. At Rio Olympics, he clocked 4:07.55 in the 50km race walk and ended the campaign with a 35th place finish. Amit Khatri who specializes in 10,000m race walk is a silver medallist at the World Athletics U-20 Championships held in Nairobi. The 18-year-old from Haryana clinched a Gold in the 19th National Federation Cup Juniors, 2021 (U20) in Punjab.
