Mo Farah has stated that he will put his trust in the TCS London Marathon organizers to handle any possible protests by environmental activists while the race is taking place. Up to 28,000 environmental protestors, including Extinction Rebellion activists, are anticipated at Westminster for four days of demonstrations from April 23 to April 26, which has sparked worries about possible disruptions to the London Marathon. However, members of Extinction Rebellion have given ‘unique’ promises that they will assist in securing the marathon on Sunday, according to Hugh Brasher, the race director of the London Marathon. Brasher also indicated that mitigation procedures were in place in case they were needed.

The double world and Olympic champion Mo Farah said he hasn’t seen much in the last two months because he has been concentrating on training when asked if he had any additional security or safety worries this year. He is confident that any potential protests will be effectively handled by the London Marathon organizers. Mo Farah mentioned that a lot of individuals take part in the race for charity and that the occasion itself creates an environmental priority. The protests come after the World Snooker Championship was stopped owing to a protest by the environmental group Just Stop Oil. According to reports, the group might potentially take part in the next protests in London.
