Here are the results of Javelin in the National Games 2022.
India’s latest sprint sensation Amlan Borgohain of Assam attained a new Games record in the men’s 200m with a timing of 20.55s to win his second gold medal at the National Games 2022. While Uttar Pradesh’s Ram Baboo shattered the national record in the men’s 35km race walk event, clocking 2:36.34 seconds. Tamil Nadu’s Archana Suseendran got the better of Hima Das to bag the gold in the women’s 200m with a timing of 23.06.
With a timing of 12.79, Jyothi Yarraji of Andhra Pradesh completely overshadowed her competitors to claim the gold. However, her timing won’t be counted as a national record due to a 2.5 m/s wind assistance. In the men’s 3000m Steeplechase, Shankar Lal Swami (8:43.05s) held off a late surge from fellow Services competitor Balkishan (8:43.14s) to win the gold medal. He also broke the previous Games record of 8:48.68 seconds set by Jaiveer Singh in Ranchi in 2011.
