Some of the best athletes across Europe are in action from 11-21 August at the European Championships this year in Munich, Germany. The event is taking place for the first time since 2018, which was hosted by Berlin and Glasgow. This edition will include 9 events in total, two more than the previous edition including Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Canoe Sprint, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing, Sport Climbing, Table Tennis, and Triathlon.
Currently, Germany leads the tally with 14 gold medals ahead of France, Italy. Great Britain who topped the standings in 2018 are placed in 4th position with 25 medals in total. The event features high-profile names including Pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis and cycling sensation Tom Pidcock. This edition sees over 4,700 athletes from 50 countries competing over the 10-day event.
