Velocity Gaming was formed in 2017. Later in 2019, the team registered as an Indian Esports organization by Manoj “SENTINEL” Kasyap. The organization was initially into Rainbow Six Siege, later they invested into the Indian Esports Scene by supporting players of a variety of games like PUBG, Counter-Strike, etc. The organization helped fellow gamers in their journey by providing them with iPhones, GPUs to PUBG Mobile and PC gamers respectively.
They have contributed to the Indian PUBG Mobile community by setting up a discord of approx. 50k members to conduct scrims and selecting teams to play with the top teams of the country. After the successful journey in the Mobile community, Velocity Gaming entered into the PC scene with Valorant in July 27, 2020 by signing Team Vertigo, the org-less team, winners of the AMD Valorant Cup and Global Esports SEA Launch Tournament, comprised of players Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant, Anuj “Amaterasu” Sharma, Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose, Karan “Excali” Mhaswadkar and Vibhor Vaid. On December 24th, 2020 they rebranded to Team Mahi but on May 30th, 2021 they rebranded again to Velocity Gaming.
VLT announced its entry to Valorant on July 27th, 2020, by signing its first player, Amaterasu on the Valorant roster. Following that they signed rite2ace, Antidote, Excali and Vibhor. The first original player to depart from the team was Excali, who was dropped from the team on April 24, 2021. Following his departure Antidote also left the team on May 16, 2021 The next member to leave the team was analyst Sieh, he left on June 30, 2021. Marzil, mw1 and Deathmaker are the new additions to the team. The team is currently managed by Adarsh Singh Sikarwar.
