Paper Rex is a Southeast Asian esports organization based in Singapore. It was founded in January 2020 by legendary Counter-Strike player, Harley “dsn” Örwall, together with the founder and chief editor of CSGO2ASIA, Nikhil “nikH” Hathiramani.Dreamcore, ZOWIE and YOU•C1000 are some of its proud partners. They say “Our mission is to give every gamer something to look forward to, something to get behind, and something that they can call their own.”
Paper Rex is the Champion of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Malaysia/Singapore Stage 1. Paper Rex is the most experienced team when it comes to globals, they are the first team to represent Asia in the globals. They are considered the favorites to win the southeast region and reach the VCT master.
In July 2020, Paper Rex Esports announced their VALORANT roster, consisting of Brxndon, Egoist, Retla, JdFaker and pndmonia. In the month of november they released Brxndon, Egoist, JdFaker and pndmonia to sign a new roster. On April 20th 2021, Gambit Esports dropped Retla due to a breach of contract. Paper Rex announced a new roster by signing their CS:GO team. Tommy, mindfreak, f0rsakeN, Benkai, d4v41 joined the team with alecks as a coach.
