Ever since Jeff Hardy got arrested for DUI, there has been a lot of talk about his legal situation. The high flyer is scheduled for a hearing next month on July 5, and details of the hearing have now come out. According to PWInsider, Jeff Hardy’s hearing has officially been designated an arraignment and bond hearing. This means that Jeff will enter either a plea of guilty or not guilty, followed by a determination of a potential bond to be enforced on him. It’s unclear if this is in relation to the $3,500 bond Hardy paid to be released from jail the same day of his arrest.

In the last ten years, this is Jeff’s third DUI arrest. He was arrested twice in 2019 and because of that, he is being charged with a felony count of DUI, in addition to several misdemeanour charges. If he is convicted, Hardy potentially could face up to five years in prison.

Matt Hardy gives update on Jeff Hardy situation

AEW superstar Matt Hardy has revealed that he spoke to his brother Jeff Hardy after his DUI arrest and has said that Jeff feels terrible over his actions and how everything transpired. The Hardy Boyz were scheduled to be in the main event of Dynamite this week battling for the Tag Team Titles in a three-way ladder match, but due to Jeff’s arrest, they were pulled from the fight.

Speaking on his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt opened up about the situation and said, “He’s just so remorseful, so embarrassed, he like hates himself and I think that’s a part of it too. And he has to know obviously what he did was atrocious, terrible, terrible decision-making, but then also he has to know that people love him. It’s very important. Just like you said, at the end of the day, it all comes down to the individual. You have to keep yourself in check, you have to be on top of yourself, you are the only person that can really ensure you’re not going to go awry or go in a bad direction, whether it’s because of mental issues or whether it’s because of addiction issues as you said.”
