This weeks edition of AEW Dynamite featured a dream bout between CM Punk and Dustin Rhodes.
A packed match card included a dream battle between CM Punk and Dustin Rhodes on the April 20 episode of AEW Dynamite wrestling. The episode’s highlight was an intriguing Coffin Match between Darby Allin and Andrade El Idolo, where Tony Khan made a significant statement on the air.
For the first time in weeks, Britt Baker returned to AEW, while Wardlow faced a challenge in the shape of The Butcher.
The programme began with CM Punk and Dustin Rhodes in a blockbuster bout. The crowd was supportive of both men and cheered them on. Following a gruelling back-and-forth, Punk piled Rhodes in a rollup for the victory. This was a nice warm-up for Punk ahead of his big fight at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on Memorial Day weekend.
Winner: CM Punk
The Blackpool Combat Club beat Brock Anderson, Lee Moriarty, and Dante Martin in an intense trios bout. For a brief while, it looked like Moriarty, Anderson, and Martin’s inexperienced team may pull off the unimaginable and upset the veteran Blackpool Combat Club. Finally, Jon Moxley used his devastating assault to terminate the contest.
Winner: Blackpool Combat Club
Wardlow persevered admirably as he took all The Butcher threw at him. The Butcher was then struck with four powerbombs in a row, resulting in a decisive victory.
Winner: Wardlow

To pin the AEW Tag Team Champion, Kyle O’Reilly ascended to the top rope and landed a knee on Jungle Boy’s back.
Winner: Kyle O’Riley
Hook had a great debut at Dynamite, defeating Anthony Henry by a landslide. Hook controlled the whole bout and used a Tazmission to end his opponent.

Baker made effective use of the encouragement she received from her homeland in defeating Danielle Kamela.
Winner: Britt Baker
The night’s main event was a spectacular battle. Darby Allin battled Andrade El Idolo in a chaotic Coffin Match. Given the continuing enmity between Allin and El Idolo, the stakes were high. Darby Allin ultimately trapped Andrade within the coffin and closed the lid to seal the victory after a furious pounding from both wrestlers.
Winner: Darby Allin
